International Conference on Coal Science & Technology (ICCS&T 2019) is one of the world's top conferences in the field of coal research which typically gathers several hundred delegates representing academia, industry, and governments from all over the world. The Conference is held every second year in different countries. The last six conferences were in China (2017), Australia (2015), USA (2013), Spain (2011), South Africa (2009) and the UK (2007).
This year, ICCS&T is coming to Central Europe for the first time, to be hosted in Krakow, a historical and academic centre and former capital of Poland. It is being jointly organised by AGH University of Science and Technology, the Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the IEA Clean Coal Centre, and supported by the Central Mining Institute (GIG) and the Institute for Chemical Processing of Coal.
ICCS&T 2019 will cover many topics including:

- coke, coal tar, coal combustion products (CCP)
- High Efficiency Low Emission (HELE) technologies

The National Organising Committee of ICCS&T 2019 are now inviting abstract submissions related to the conference themes and sessions. Submissions are open until 4th May 2019.
