Concrete Institute of Australia are hosting a night of some light food, drinks and networking to start off 2019.
Guest presenter, Dr Daksh Baweja (BG&E Materials Technology), will discuss new concrete durability documents and legal risks with lawyer Michelle Knight of Minter Ellison.
The CIA’s newly formed Young Member’s group is also calling out all concrete industry members under the age of 35 to come along and meet up for a few drinks and to find out what’s new in concrete in Sydney!

He will speak about how this document will make the specification of exposure class for concrete a brand new experience providing greater clarity, more cohesion, and confidence for those high-risk areas.

Michelle is a leading practitioner in the legal world with respect to concrete related issues. She will speak in conjunction with Daksh about the risk areas that should be considered in design and application of concrete structures and how Z7/02 can be used to help reduce this.
